Back From Underway

Hey! So I just got back from a month long underway. We did alot of stuff actually. We sank 2 decommisioned ships, went to Florida twice, and I was able to swim off the coast of the Bahamas. The swim was fun too bad we didnt stop and hit a port at all. Everything here is fine. Cant wait to come back home and get away from these people though. hahahaha. Well thats about all I have right now how everything is good with everyone. Bye.

I'm Still Here

Hey Everyone!!! I'm still here so dont worry. I've been really busy working on all kinds of things like our chill water pump that broke the other day because the mechanical seal melted. Also I was in Florida for a few day and man was it nice. I wish I could have been stationed there they have a full 18 hole golf course on the base so needless to say I played a little golf while I was there. I have also been looking up some online classes to talk for my audio engineering degree so jeremiah if you know of any let me know. I also was looking up the conservatory of recording arts and sciences and checking out everything they have and I pretty much made up my mind that that is where I am going to try and attend the school there. They really do teach you everything you need to know and I have always been interested in how sound actually works. But thats about all I have for now so take care.

HEY EVERYBODY!!!!!!!

Hey just wanted to let everyone know I'm still here. Havent really had anything to report really just the same thing over and over. Right now I'm cranking which means that I'm working for the cooks for 11 days so its not so bad. I did come to realize a few things this past week and I want to thank my absolutly amazing family for helping me through my problems (exspecally Meagan and Dad if it wasent for you two I dont know what I would have done so thank you so much I cant even put it in words I love you both so so much.) Well hope everything is well with everyone.

SOMETHING NEW

I know I havent posted anything in a while but it has been crazy busy here. We just went through a major inspection last week and we have another this week. I'm not excited about it but I can gut it out hahaha. Not really a whole lot to report here just the same ol thing day in and day out. I hope everyone is doing great so take care.

Hey I'm back!!!!

Yes I am back in Norfolk unfortuately but I can deal. I got to go home for a little while and it was great I got to see Jackson my nephew and it is always great to see him. After that I went to Abilene and Midland for a little while I got to hang out with Monty and Garrett. I havent seen Garrett in long time so it was really nice to see him. I also got to hang out at the lake house for a couple of days and that was awesome I love going there its just so relaxed. After that I went to my moms for a while its always nice to see her. Now I'm back here and I have to tell you guys about a couple of movies I saw recently. The first is The Uninvited it was one of the best movies I've seen in a while along with Nick and Norahs Infinite Playlist which is a sort of romantic comedy and I just fell in love with it I bet alot of you would like it. Also the soundtrack is really good to its mostly indie music and usually I dont like that but they put some really good songs on there. Well I better go.

Finally I have something!

So I finally got word on my leave chit. So far it is up to my department head and after him is the captain. Hopefully the department head wont shoot it down but all in all it up to the captain. Considering the captain is a bleeding heart I have a pretty good feeling about it. I just cant wait till I finally get home though. I hope everyone is doing well. Love Yall.

I havent really been getting any comments or anything from anyone but my dad. I mean its nice that dad is reading but I would like to know how everyone else is doing. In particular Jackson and also Sunni. So just leave me some comments people!!!!! Hahahahahaha. Love Yall.

Still no word

On my leave chit (I know youve been wondering about it dad). I cant really get upset about that though. This whole underway all of engineering department is standing port to starboard watches. Thats means we have 6 hours of watch then 6 hours off then 6 hours on watch again 24 hours a day. Its starting to take a major toll on the department and on top of that we have to run 2 drill sets a day everyday. I cant say much though Im not standing watch thank god. I was TAD to a different division this underway so Im off the watchbill. I feel really bad though because I want to help out but I cant really do anything. But anyways figured I would let yall know. Take care. Oh and Meagan that picture with Jackson with the hat on is one of my favorites (he might end up like me and dad wearing hats all the time hahahahahaha).

Update!

So far the crp is doing ok but for how long I have no idea. Now our RO pump is down thats the pump that gives up drinking water. Apparently the bearings are shot on it and we need a completely new pump. The funny thing about that is that we replaced the other pump on deployment so at least we know what to do when we replace this one. On a different note I had a guy onboard go download me a bunch of songs and I asked for Billy Joels Rosalindas Eyes instead he got we didnt start the fire. That song has been stuck in my head for the past 3 days. I mean dont get me wrong its a good song and all but people start to get a little annoyed when all you do all day is sing the chourus of the song (thats the only part I usually remember). Well thats the update so far. Back to work.

UNDERWAY!!!!!!!!`

Well we are underway for 19 days as of now. Now we might not be out for that long remember me telling you about the crp being messed up. Well during this underway we might run into a few minor problems like the crp locking up and us not being able to steer (at all). Then we get to be towed in which would not be fun but this is going to be the only way I will be able to talk to alot of yall. Well its back to work.

Ok I am addicted

To this show called freaks and geeks has anyone else heard of it. Its kinda old like 1999 but its so good. I borrowed it from someone onboard and watched it like five times already. Not only is the show great but the soundtrack is even better. It has The Who, Supertramp, Bob Segar, Queen, and many others. It has Seth Rogen, Jason Segal, and James Franco when they were really young. Overall its up there with Firefly and That 70s Show as one of my favorite series. Unfortanetlly its cancelled (why are all the really good shows cancelled?).

Ok so heres the rundown

I plan on coming home sometime in febuary. Hopefully early but it all depends on what we are doing. The ship has been having some problems with the crp pump. Thats the pump that pumps oil to the shafts so there isnt friction when the shafts turn. We currently plan on going out on either the 9th january or the 12th so I'm hoping on the 12th. We plan on coming back like the 28th or 29th of the same month. More than likely we wont be going to Florida which is no big deal because everyone is still planning on going this summer right? Well thats my life right now but I will keep you updated when I can. Take care.
